What is it? Man captures video of spinning blue UFO 'cruising slow' over Utah

The stunning image of a UFO was captured on video last week, but is it an alien craft, or is there a simpler explanation?
Anthony Piceno, of American Fork, Utah, said he was drawn to the sight in the air because it was like nothing he had ever seen before.
His footage of the object later appeared on The Weather Channel.

Mr Piceno said: ‘I looked up in the sky and, you know, it was just a different object, it was neon blue, red flashing lights’.

He watched the object floating in the sky for a few minutes, observing how it was 'just cruising slow' in the sky.
But as with any UFO sighting, there are skeptics, who have their own ideas about what the flying object really was.

Lynn Hadfield, president of Utah Valley Aeromodelers, told The Weather Channel that he believes the lights are nothing more than radio-controlled planes in nearby Art Dye Park.
Mr Hadfield said: ‘I believe it’s an RC plane with lights... There have been a number of people who spot these around and wonder if they were UFOs’.
Chris Santacroce of Superfly Paragliding contends that Mr Piceno may have seen a paraglider in the area, although doing so at night is illegal.

Mr Santacroce told the network: ‘If that was a paraglider over American Fork, then it wouldn’t be the first time a paraglider flew at night with some lights on it’.
This is not the first time suspicious objects have been seen hovering in the sky in the area, as several people have reported close encounters in the past few months.
Last year, a top secret FBI memo detailing how police and army officers witnessed a UFO exploding over Utah was unearthed.
The cable, marked ‘URGENT’ and sent to then-FBI director J. Edgar Hoover, details how an army guard, a policeman and a highway patrol, who were all miles apart, each saw a UFO, which they said exploded over mountains near Logan, north of Salt Lake City.

The memo is one of thousands of previously unreleased classified files that the bureau has made public in an online resource called The Vault.
Under the title ‘Flying Discs’, the document about the sightings in Utah said the three men each ‘saw a silver coloured object high up approaching the mountains at Sardine Canyon’ that ‘appeared to explode in a rash of fire.’
It added: ‘Several residents [reported] seeing what appeared to be two aerial explosions, followed by falling object.’
Documents show that an earlier UFO sighting had been investigated in Logan in September 1947.
It said numerous witnesses told the FBI they saw ‘flying discs’ in formation that were ‘circling the city at a high rate of speed’.

"There is little doubt that the cloud is heading in the general direction of Earth," stated a NASA expert when explaining what’s coming to Earth Jan. 24 in the form of a “huge radiation storm” from rare eruptions on the Sun. For reasons, both scientific and unknown, UFO sightings occur more often when there’s “significant radiation storms;” as is the case during Tuesday’s expected “powerful solar eruption is expected to blast a stream of charged particles past Earth on Jan. 24, as the strongest radiation storm since 2005 rages on the sun,” stated a Jan. 23 MSNBC TV report; while also noting that when the “sun erupts” on Tuesday, other strange things seem to happen here on Earth, with UFO sightings rise.
When the Sun erupts
What’s been dubbed by forecasters on TV as when “the Sun erupts,” the Jan. 24 radiation storm on the Sun will be “the strongest solar radiation storm since May 2005,” reported NBC News Jan. 23; while noting that “as a precaution, polar flights on Earth are expected to be rerouted,” stated Kathy Sullivan, at the 92nd annual American Meteorological Society meeting in New Orleans Jan. 23.
Last week, these meteorological experts stated how a separate “sunspot group unleashed several M-class flares.”
In turn, all sorts of scientists, from worldwide locations, have said these “types of flares are occurring almost daily” as the Sun's rotation slowly turns the region toward Earth.
Who's explaining the danger?
Also, top scientists have called these electromagnetic bursts "coronal mass ejections," and NBC News reported Jan. 23 “they are closely studied because they can produce potentially harmful geomagnetic storms when electrically charged particles from the sun interact with Earth's magnetic field.”
In addition to generating stronger than normal displays of Earth's auroras (also known as the northern and southern lights), NBC News reported how “geomagnetic storms aimed directly at our planet can also disrupt satellites in orbit, cause widespread communications interference and damage other electronic infrastructures.”
For example, “there’s all types of reported UFO sightings,” as stated in the recently released British government UFO documents, that number 8,500 files available free, online.
There’s also details released on Monday by NASA revealing images released by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory that shows “composite ultraviolet images” from this recent outburst “from the upper right quadrant of the sun’s disk that registered just one step below an X-class flare,” stated the NASA information about what “it looks like on the Sun.”
Stonefield Beach welcomes seekers
A sign outside Stonefield Beach – a popular UFO sighting location along the Oregon coast that’s been credited with “thousands of sightings” by a host of people who either live or visit here, for the past 60 years, state local historians in nearby Yachats.
One ufologist, speaking recently at nearby Bray’s Point, said “since the UFO sightings didn’t raise any alarm bells, for those in power and those who live near where UFO sightings take place, that some would leave it up to popular science magazines of the Sixties to use ‘real stuff’ with the ‘creative stuff. But, in a strange way, nobody really knew, definitely, who contributed the far out stuff.”
While not everyone may be enthralled with Tuesday’s storm on the Sun, it does drive more to Stonefield Beach and other UFO sighting spots, to look up and feel the power of the Sun, and what locals call “the visitors.”
In fact, any mention about “the visitors” always brings a story or two about someone who seems to be floating in a sepia haze as their minds flip through a mental atlas of faraway places that seem to be part of their UFO memory sighting.
Julie, 74, a retired teacher and Stonefield Beach local, is also an Oregon UFO “watcher.” Julie explained that “back in another compartment” of her head, the word “Sun” is said to help take her “on a long journey in the heartland.”
Julie likes to tease, she admits, and say “all sorts of sh--.”
“I always feel more power from the Sun now after my (UFO) sighting experience,” explained Julie during a recent Huliq interview. Moreover, Julie thinks the reference to “the visitors” is also generic for “a whole host of people who can be called travelers, visitors, friends and alike,” but, she notes, the “one thing about true visitors is they’re really strange. The joke is there’s no ‘missing an alien,’ even in a very strange world already.
“See,” adds Julie, “even talking about the Sun makes ya’ crazy.”
Sun’s radiation outburst
Meanwhile, NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory caught this “extreme ultraviolet flash from a huge eruption on the sun overnight (10:59 p.m. ET Sunday, or 0359 GMT Monday),” according to SpaceWeather.com.
Scientists who are watching as the “sun erupts,” say it only happens one in seven years, with “wave of charged particles expected to force rerouting of polar airplane flights,” and a history of UFO sightings happening when such larger storms hit.
Fans of UFO watching here at Stonefield Beach on Sunday -- to help clean up the beach for the recent winter storm that lashed the Pacific Northwest -- also noted how the expected “radiation storm” was described in “numerous UFO histories” with dates of sightings and events happening at the same time.
For example, there’s always much talk of “ultraviolet” and of a ‘light’ that’s also hangs over this stretch of coast at Stonefield Beach.
Locals who frequent Stonefield Beach -- to search the heavens for UFOs and stars – make note of “bright yellow and light red color” with a “certain intense level of noise and color, as if someone turned on a flashlight with some mellifluous sounds,” explained one local who walks Stonefield Beach where driftwood offers a natural place – a seaside Facebook that’s simply room on a tree to carve (with pen or stick) any messages you may have for visitors to also carve messages about “the light.”
Sun “active” lately
According to NASA and other news sources, such as msnbc.msn.com, several NASA satellites, including the Solar Dynamics Observatory, the Solar Heliospheric Observatory, the STEREO spacecraft and U.S. and international ufologists in touch with their native country’s UFO status, citing reports, state that “the sun has become increasingly active lately and, in turn, ufologists state that UFO sightings worldwide – that are now viewed as commonplace with a small percentage of sightings ever being reported – have also become “increasingly active.” In fact, ufologists claim that with all its hype, 2012 “just has to be a breakthrough year for UFO understanding and even revelation to what’s already known by everyone.”
“A barrage of charged particles triggered by the outburst is expected to hit Earth at around 9 a.m. ET Tuesday,” according to experts at the Space Weather Prediction Center, a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Also, experts have told TV news shows that the Sun’s “activity” waxes and wanes on an “11-year cycle.”
In turn, ufologists have made note – based on files contained in the British government UFO documents – that the Earth’s nearest stars “is in the midst of Solar Cycle 24, and activity is expected to ram up toward solar maximum in 2013,” while a WikiLinks UFO file released in 2010 by the British media, claims there’s still “lots of ultra-top secret UFO files” that have not been seen. The legend that surrounds the most secret of secret UFO files are said to be in Russia.
Also, ufologists make note that this recent NASA expert statement – that “A barrage of charged particles triggered by the outburst is expected to hit Earth at around 9 a.m. ET Tuesday” – must be a line from a flying saucer pulp fiction magazine of the 1950s. Now, it seems, it’s here today.

UFO..Appear in Moscow on Regular Basis

Lately, Russian media has been reporting on unidentified flying objects seen in Moscow skies. Recently a video was posted online showing a huge triangle 1.5 km wide soaring above the Moscow Kremlin. It was sitting above Red Square and shot by amateurs twice.

The video was widely discussed in foreign communities interested in ufology. According to a former UFO analyst of the British Defense Ministry, this is the most bizarre and unusual video of a UFO he has ever seen.

On October 7, 2009 a strange round cloud resembling a saucer was shot above Moscow Ring Road. At first it was noticed above Leninsky Prospect metro station, which is in downtown Moscow.

According to employees of the independent group “Heritage,” the object probably wanted to provide encoded information that Earth is threatened by asteroids. On October 27, two days after the researchers presented at the 14th Ufology Conference, the media, referring to NASA, released belated information about a meteorite explosion above Sulawesi Island.

In the evening of December 21, 2009, a reporter of Komsomolskaya Pravda who was shooting the panorama of Red Square unexpectedly shot something that looked like a stick with six wings. He did not see anything while he was shooting and only saw it on his pictures, as it often happens with UFOs.

The “hero” of the shoot was identified by the chair of Ufology committee with the Russian Geographical society Michael Gernstein. “This is a skyfish, flying rod, or solar entitiy. Ufology websites are filled with similar pictures.”

Some hot heads stated that these are live beings unknown to science. Others think these are creatures that came from plasma world inhibited by souls and ghosts.

UFOs above Moscow are not a frequent event, but not exclusive one either. In winter of 1584, a cross-shaped object with a lit up bubble in the center was seen in Moscow sky in day light.

Ivan the Terrible, who was then the Tsar, came outside as soon as he heard about it to “see the miracle with his own eyes.” The witnesses said he watched it for a while and then said, his face pale, that it was a sign of his death. It was indeed his last year.

Fireballs are also frequently seen in downtown Moscow. On August 5, 1977, three fireballs were seen. One came down on Ivanovskaya square, another one disappeared in Tainitsky garden, and the third one flew into the Archangelsk cathedral.

It moved along an S-shaped trajectory because the entrance to the cathedral consists of two pairs of doors. From the entrance the fireball moved to the altar, banged against the Tsar gates and exploded. A black spot remained on the altar from the explosion. It is hard to believe that this was an accident.

NASA’s LCROSS bombing

“Even though this happened on Christmas Day 1968, many people sensed a hidden meaning in those words."

Former USAF U.S. Sgt. Karl Wolfe, a Disclosure Project witness, describes photos, documents of extraterrestrial bases on the dark side of the moon that he witnessed at the NSA (National Security Agency), in the 1960s. One report states that “Sgt Wolfe was working with Tactical Air Command at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia in 1965. There, he was assigned to the lunar orbital project with the National Security Agency where he met an airman who confided in him that they had discovered bases in the far side of the moon.”

Sgt Wolfe’s Disclosure Project testimony, in which he states that he is willing to testify under oath before the U.S. Congress, can be seen in the video below.

One account states, “The airman told him (Wolfe) that all of the NASA photographs were sent to Langley, where they were enhanced, and eventually made into photographs to be sent to and studied by the different branches of the military. He was also told why security was of the utmost importance at the lab on this particular day-recent enhanced imagery had clearly shown structures on the far side of the Moon. These structures were definitely not created by natural forces-they were made by intelligent beings.

“’We discovered,’ the airman said, ‘a base on the back side of the Moon.’

Wolfe was in no way prepared for what he had just been told. When he airman saw Wolfe nearly shaking in disbelief, he reiterated:

“’Yes, a base on the dark side of the Moon.’

“Although Wolfe had not actually been told that some alien intelligence had made the aforementioned structures, who else could it have been? Although Russia had flown unmanned vessels around to the far side, no landing had been made, and the resources and technology needed to build a station there were far beyond that of Russia at the time. Had they made a landing on the Moon, the entire world would have known about it. And Wolfe knew America was still years from a Moon landing.

“His anxiety reached a new level. He was looking at, and being told about, something that he should not have seen or known about. He was actually afraid of being arrested and a court martial. He only wanted to finish his job, and get out of there, and forget the whole incident. He would finish the repair he was called to do, but he could never forget what he had seen that day at Langley. He would tell not a soul for 30 years.

“His release from the military also required that he not leave the United States for five years. This was a condition of his security status. He also was sworn to not reveal anything he had seen while performing his duties in the military. Wolfe would eventually put a report on what he had seen on video, which is now available on the Internet. There have also been several ex-NASA employees who have come forward telling of their experiences in air brushing structures out of NASA photographs of the Moon.”

NASA’s lunar bombing violates Space Law and must be stopped

NASA’s use of a 2-ton empty Centaur rocket as a kinetic weapon violates space law in multiple ways and must be stopped, in flight or in lunar orbit, which the LCROSS lunar orbiter reaches on Tuesday June 23, 2009.

The bombing of the moon with a kinetic weapon to create a 5 mile crater is a per se violation of the U.N. Outer Space Treaty, which the U.S. has ratified, irrespective of its being designed as part of an experiment related to lunar colonization.

The U.N. Outer Space Treaty (Article III) provides that “States Parties to the Treaty shall carry on activities in the exploration and use of outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies, in accordance with international law, including the Charter of the United Nations.”

The Moon Treaty (Agreement Governing The Activities Of States On The Moon And Other Celestial Bodies (1979)) addresses and bans the specific activity bombing of the moon carried out unilaterally by the U.S. The Moon Treaty prohibits disruption of the environment of the Moon. The LCROSS bombing constitutes a disruption of the delicate balance of the lunar ecology. Article 7 of the Moon Treaty states:

“1. In exploring and using the moon, States Parties shall take measures to prevent the disruption of the existing balance of its environment whether by introducing adverse changes in that environment, by its harmful contamination through the introduction of extra-environmental matter or otherwise. States Parties shall also take measures to avoid harmfully affecting the environment of the earth through the introduction of
extraterrestrial matter or otherwise.

“2. States Parties shall inform the Secretary-General of the United Nations of the measures being adopted by them in accordance with paragraph 1 of this article and shall also, to the maximum extent feasible, notify him in advance of all placements by them of radio-active materials on the moon and of the purposes of such placements.

“3. States Parties shall report to other States Parties and to the Secretary-General concerning areas of the moon having special scientific interest in order that, without prejudice to the rights of other States Parties, consideration may be given to the designation of such areas as international scientific preserves for which special protective arrangements are to be agreed upon in consultation with the competent bodies of the United Nations.”

Although the U.S. has not ratified the Moon Treaty, 13 nations have, and it can be construed as a relevant international standard of what constitutes “international law” under the U.N. Outer Space Treaty.

Is NASA’s LCROSS bombing of the moon a camouflaged attack or attempt to impose moon sovereignty by the U.S.?

There is witnessed evidence, through the testimony of UASF SGT Karl Wolfe and through the statements of U.S. astronauts, NASA employees, former Soviet scientists that the U.S., and its agencies NASA and the NSA has had scientific evidence that the moon has extraterrestrial civilizations and present settlements on it for more than 40 years, since the 1960s.

The U.S. has not attempted any public, peaceful diplomacy with the civilizations on the moon. In fact, the U.S. has imposed an embargo on public knowledge that settlements and an extraterrestrial presence exist on the moon.

What is touted as a scientific experiment – the bombing of the moon – may in reality be an attempt to impose de facto U.S. sovereignty on the moon. Article II of the U.N. Outer Space Treaty, which the U.S. has signed, states: “Outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies, is not subject to national appropriation by claim of sovereignty, by means of use or occupation, or by any other means.”

Moreover, the LCROSS bombing of the moon may be an intentional hostile act by the U.S. (which has know the moon is inhabited for at least 40 years by other civilizations), a kind of “shot across the bow” to mark turf against other intelligent civilizations on the moon.

The U.N. Outer Space Treaty prohibits non-peaceful activities on the moon. Article IV states, “The moon and other celestial bodies shall be used by all States Parties to the Treaty exclusively for peaceful purposes. The establishment of military bases, installations and fortifications, the testing of any type of weapons and the conduct of military manoeuvres on celestial bodies shall be forbidden.”

Adolf Hitler and other Nazi bonzes heeded predictions of pagan priests and astrologists. But little is known about the interest of the Third Reich in aliens. Ufologists in the West think that the issue was purposefully kept secret because a great share of the classified army and technology heritage of Nazis had been seized by countries of the anti-Hitler coalition.

Much of what is said by western historians and ufologists may sound too fantastic and even absurd.

Nazi researchers succeeded in development of nuclear bombs, other up-to-date armament and achieved a very high technological level in general. It is supposed that the success was thanks to contacts with aliens that were quite regular.

Before Hitler came to power national socialists had been developing projects meant to find the origins of the legendary Aryans and the location of legendary Shambala. They expected to obtain some secret super knowledge to seize the domination over the world. Secret expeditions were sent to Tibet and the Himalayas. The number of such expeditions considerably increased when Nazis came to power in 1933.

The secret projects were especially active within 1935-1939, and probably expeditions were even sent after the war campaign in Europe started. But all the documents pertaining to the projects were destroyed before Nazi Germany capitulated or probably are still being kept in undisclosed hiding-places.

Ufologists several times supposed that some Nazi expedition probably came across a wrecked UFO and contacted its crew. That highly likely occurred in the Himalayas. Or maybe the Germans took an extraterrestrial crew prisoners or came across an alien base.

However, majority of researchers think that contacts between Germans and crews of crashed UFOs were mutually beneficial. Aliens got materials to repair their space vehicles, and Nazis gained new and knowledge and technologies from aliens. So, much of Germany’s scientific researches are considered to be achieved thanks to the information obtained from extraterrestrial civilizations.

Indeed, outstanding scholars and researchers left Germany, and national scientific schools stopped functioning during WWII. And it is unlikely that scientific and technical achievements that Germany fixed could be done taking into account the situation in the national science in Germany. In the sphere of modern technologies Germany was far ahead of its basic war enemies - the United States and the Soviet Union that held an immense scientific potential.

No one can say for sure if Nazis actually had contacts with aliens or not. Defense technology and economy experts state that at the end of the 1930s Germany possessed just 57 submarines, and over the four years of WWII it built 1,163 modern technologically advanced submarines at its dockyards and even put them into operation. How was that possible when Germans were short of materials for waging war, and under the condition of terrible bombing by allied forces? One may also wonder why Nazis did not create more perfect technologies with the assistance of extraterrestrial intellect. In fact, the Germans used only technologies that required a short production period.

Nazis created the first jet-propelled destroyer that could make up to 1,000 km/h and was superior to any airplane known in the anti-Hitler coalition. It is a mystery how Germans managed to produce 2,000 new fighting machines over the few months of 1945 and even adopted them.

The US war archives and the British Air Force archives contain a great number of reports from military pilots who said they came across strange flying apparatuses resembling British military helmets when flying over Germany. American Kenneth Arnold who is known as the UFO discoverer was not the first contemporary who witnessed flying saucers in the sky. British and American pilots witnessed the phenomenon during WWII. Firing such objects did not damage them at all!

October 14, 1943, British Air Force Major R.Holmes reported that he witnessed several “big bright discs” during bombardment of Schweinfurt. And the objects did not respond to firing.

These days, some authors insist that the above episodes prove that the Third Reich had secret weapons at its disposal. They also refer to German designers Schriever, Habermol, Miethe and Belluzzo who were said as working on flying discs since 1941. But outstanding aviation experts denied the version. They said that even modern technologies did not allow production of aircrafts as invulnerable and speedy as those objects. Indeed, the experts were absolutely right but they did not consider the fact that Germans could create the apparatuses after a contact with aliens.

Raul Streicher, 85, from Germany made a sensational statement in Der Spiegel in 2000. The old man insisted that it was he who was in fact the number one spaceman, not Soviet Yury Gagarin! He added that he had been first in orbit in 1945. That sounded an absolute fable, and Der Spiegel launched a special investigation of the case and studied classified archives of the Third Reich. The investigation proved that the old man was not lying.

Before WWII, Germany set up a network of secret research institutes to develop and improve arms and methods of impact on humans. In 1938, a specialized rocket engineering research institute was founded near Wewelsburgh where the SS headquarters were located. Reich’s marshal Gering was the curator of the institute that designed the panzerfaust, the Panzerknakke pocket grenade cup discharge and various war missiles including the Fau-3 missile complex. Nazis pinned great hopes in the latter as the A9/A10 cruise missile that was part of the complex could be used either as intercontinental (Hitler planned to destroy New York in the summer of 1945) or as a space rocket.

Test launching of the missile took place in 1943, but the invention turned out to be technically imperfect and sixteen out of the 18 launched missiles exploded at take-off or in the air. Next year, the research institute produced about 40 improved missiles. At the same time, the fuehrer ordered to recruit military astronauts among German aces. A new squadron consisting of from 100 to 500 pilots was formed in March 1944. Raul Streicher was also among them.

After several successful tests of the rockets in 1944 the final selection of astronauts was held. Hitler chose two candidates judging by their personal horoscopes as he was fond of astrology. Those were Martin von Dulen and Raul Streicher, and the fuehrer obviously sympathized with the latter.

A rocket with von Dulen on board was first launched on February 18, 1945 and was a bad luck as the rocket exploded in about three minutes after the start. In six days another rocket with Raul Streicher on board was successfully launched; then it orbited the Earth and landed on water in Japan. But the sweeping advance of the allied forces frustrated the plans. American forces seized the head of the research institute, and Soviet troops got some of the rockets designed by the institute. Later they were used in development of the Soviet space technique.

There was an order to liquidate Streicher as he knew too much. The astronaut was in hiding in Eastern Europe for some time and then after several years settled in GDR. After Yury Gagarin’s first flight into space in 1961 Streicher announced that it was he and not the Soviet astronaut who must be considered the pioneer of space. However, the man failed to provide evidence to prove that he was true.

UFO-obsessed Briton loses bid to avoid extradition to US

A Briton accused of hacking into US military and NASA computers on Friday lost his latest legal bid to avoid extradition to the United States.
Gary McKinnon, who suffers from a form of autism, could spend life in prison if convicted by a US court of gaining access to 97 computers in 2001 and 2002 in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The 43-year-old, who now has 28 days to decide whether to appeal, says he was only looking for evidence of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) when he hacked into the US Navy and NASA space agency computers.

But the High Court on Friday rejected his lawyers' application for a judicial review of a decision last October by then home secretary Jacqui Smith to order his extradition.

"We are heartbroken. If the law says it's fair to destroy someone's life in this way then it's a bad law," said his mother Janis Sharp, standing outside the court after the ruling.

His lawyers had argued that he should not be extradited because he suffers from Asperger's Syndrome, a form of autism, and could commit suicide or suffer psychosis if extradited.

They say he could easily be prosecuted in Britain, where he would face a less severe sentence. But the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) ruled in February that the case was best brought in the United States.

McKinnon's lawyers said Friday the legal battle is not over, pending a decision on whether to appeal. "This ruling is hugely disappointing. But we shall not stop here," said Karen Todner, one of his legal team.

"(Current Home Secretary) Alan Johnson still has the power to act. We have 28 days to review the judgment and will continue to explore every legal avenue until we achieve a just and proper result.

"The government promised 'ample protection' of individuals' rights, but we have yet to see this in practice. Extradition without effective safeguards is a denial of justice for every UK citizen," she added.

Trudie Styler, wife of rock star Sting and a supporter of McKinnon's cause, described the ruling as the "death of common sense'," adding: "I think every mother in England should write to Alan Johnson and say 'Use your common sense and have a heart'."

But Johnson insisted he has to abide by the law. "It would be illegal for me to stop the extradition of Gary McKinnon, which the court ruling has made clear," he said.

"Mr. McKinnon is accused of serious crimes and the US has a lawful right to seek his extradition, as we do when we wish to prosecute people who break our laws," he added, noting that McKinnon can appeal to the House of Lords.

Another lawyer for McKinnon said in June that Smith had not realised the severity of McKinnon's mental problems. "She underestimated the gravity of the situation," said Edward Fitzgerald.

British prosecutors have declined to begin proceedings against McKinnon, pending the US extradition request.

The National Autistic Society said it was "extremely disappointed" at the new decision. "We are angry that Gary is still in this position," said Amanda Batten, the charity's policy chief.

"This legal case has been going on for seven years. We are involved in supporting his case because we think that in the light of his Asperger's Syndrome that extradition should not go ahead.

"We will continue campaigning and do all we can to support Gary to stay in the UK."

Alien and human skulls found on Mars

NASA’s Spirit rover took a number of pictures depicting weird objects on the surface of Mars. Michael Middleton of Australia, a photographer and a UFO spotter, found a skull on one of the pictures taken by Spirit.

The original photograph is located on NASA’s official website on the following URL. Middleton zoomed in the photo and found a skull on the foreground.

Indeed, a piece of rock on the Martian sand bears a striking resemblance to a human skull. It is a round object with eye sockets and a nose pit. The lower jaw is embedded in the sand. It is hard to believe that the natural world of Mars could make such a rock. Middleton said that the ‘skull’ stands out against the rest of the landscape that can be seen on the photograph. It is a white object, the color of a bone.

Another object to the right of the while skull looks like someone’s head too, albeit it is not the shape of a human head. The grey rock has a small chin, there is no nose pit, whereas the eye sockets are oblong and disproportionately large. It looks like an alien skull.

According to Middleton, it is boring to think that the discovered rocks are just rocks. Their surface is unusually smooth if compared to other rocks on the photo. It is also impossible to explain how the skull of a human being and of an alien found themselves resting next to each other on the mysterious red planet.

Aliens forced Americans out from the Moon PART 1

One of Russia's central television channels, RTR, has recently aired a documentary about US astronauts who allegedly came across extraterrestrial civilizations. The film showed Russian ufologist Vladimir Azhazha and astronomer Yevgeny Arsyukhin telling that expeditions to the Moon launched within 1969-1972 allegedly came across UFOs.

The researchers state that flying objects of extraterrestrial origin were persistently spying on American Apollos. They said the expeditions to the Moon looked very much like a race and presented a film demonstrating a luminous object closely following an American spaceship. Records of communication between astronauts and the Mission Control Center were also included into the film but they were absolutely inaudible as they had been purposefully jammed by Americans. They expected that the expeditions would find something astonishing on the Moon and with the view of keeping their communication with the surface secret they encoded their messages to the MCC. When the records of communication were later deciphered it turned out that the US missions came across lunar bases, remains of space vehicles and deserted towns on the Moon.

The film stated that lunar creatures would not tolerate the presence of Earth dwellers for long. When Americans brought a dummy car to furrow Moon craters, the creatures living on the satellite began to demonstrate their furious protest against the US presence on the Moon. Filmmakers said that green dwellers of the Moon told Americans to go home as they wanted to keep secret the sublunar bases that they used to observe the life on the Earth. It was alleged that NASA was afraid of conflicting with a highly developed civilization and immediately stopped the program. Does the film sound believable?

In a couple of days, Americans demonstrated their documentary about the Apollo expeditions, In the Shadow of the Moon, with records of the flights to the Moon that were specially processed after the video archives of the Moon program had disappeared. Is it true that the archives were lost? It seems that the CIA wanted to wipe out tracks of a contact between US astronauts and extraterrestrials.

It is an open secret by the way that films demonstrating the landing of American astronauts on the Moon and Neil Armstrong’s walk about the lunar surface were lost. What is more, records telling about astronauts’ health during the flights to the Moon, information about spaceships and other 700 messages sent from the board of spaceships launched in the framework of the Apollo program are also missing. Before the late 1970s the films had been kept at the US National Archives then were moved to NASA and later disappeared at all. It took NASA officials a year to conduct searches of the films but they managed to find just not more than ten films. Will anyone believe that evidence of US’s biggest triumph may so easily disappear from the NASA archives?

An expertise of the Moon pictures demonstrated in the Russian documentary revealed that they were no ordinary photos but simply some daub. Deputy director of the Comparative Planetology Laboratory Doctor of geological sciences Alexander Bazilevsky says that experts are from time to time requested to conduct an expertise of this type of photos. The Lunar Orbiter stations shot the Moon surface, then developed films right on board the spaceships and telecast them to the surface. As a result of this film development any unexpected things or elements could appear on pictures, and it explains why one of the pictures showed in the documentary had the word ‘spire’. In a word, none of the pictures demonstrated in the documentary can be the evidence of aliens’ existence on the Moon.

This is strange that films with really important evidence can disappear from NASA. Several years ago, over 100 g of lunar soil and meteorites were stolen from the collection of the Johnson Space Center. And that was not the only incident of the kind there. A former NASA official explained that the unique films had been probably lost after they were several times moved from one place to another within the past forty years

The NASA official who requested anonymity also told a really interesting story. When President Bush announced recommencement of the lunar program the National Aeronautics and Space Administration asked aged researchers who had taken part in the Apollo expeditions earlier to meet experts who were going to start a new mission. One of the aged researchers who came to the meeting had designed a device to measure lunar radiation. The device could measure radiation before humans landed the planet and could transmit information even when the Apollos were back to the surface. In the framework of the program heaps of records were collected. But when the program was no longer financed and stopped the bobbins with ciphered films were discarded. But the old engineer took the films and placed them to his basement where they are still being kept. Unfortunately there is no opportunity to decipher the films as a special device able to decode such records was also utilized when the program ended.

The NASA official admits that the flights to the Moon were rather a political mission as the USA wanted to gain revenge after the Soviet spaceman Gagarin was the first to enter the space. And the USA spent $150 billion to start the lunar program to demonstrate the power of the American science and engineering. It was a very expensive project that was easily abandoned as soon as financing was stopped.

The American Internet service Google is ready to pay $20 million to a private company that succeeds in landing a buggy on the Moon for transmitting photo and video information of one gigabyte in size right to the Earth surface. The sum is to be paid in case a buggy lands the Moon before 2012, and a company may get just $15 million if it launches such a buggy within the two next years after 2012.

At that, Google conditions that such a buggy must walk at least 40 centimeters along the Moon surface, transmit a series of pictures from the Moon including ‘a self-portrait’ against the lunar background, a panoramic picture of the planet and on-line video.

As it turned out, meteorites hit the lunar surface oftener than is usually believed which is really dangerous for automatic stations and manned spaceships. The Moon has no atmospheric protection, and even a small meteor can cause a tragedy if it hits a spaceship or a manned space station.

Today, the Russian project of the Moon expedition is even less developed than it was under the direction of Korolev.

The documentary In the Shadow of the Moon includes an interview given by five of the eight extant men who had ever entered space. They are now aged over seventy. None of them has ever officially stated that he saw something supernatural in space. At that, they are unanimous that the lunar race was part of the cold war when pure science was of second importance.

Neil Armstrong, the first man to land the Moon, is now living an anchorite life in Ohayo where he teaches astronautics at the university.

NASA is going to conduct another mission to the Moon with a spaceship Orion resembling Apollo and stuffed with steroids. It is planned that four astronauts will fly round the Moon in 2018. If the project goes OK a landing module is to land the lunar surface in 2020.

Russia’s ambitions as concerning Moon exploration are rather modest. A Russian astronaut may land the planet only as a member of a Chinese-Russian expedition. Chinese researchers are working on this project and invite Russia to participate in it as well.

Soviet cosmonauts conceal truth about UFOs

The UFO phenomenon never existed in the former USSR, at least in the official records. There were numerous stories about unidentified flying objects which could be heard from susceptible individuals, but Soviet cosmonauts never said anything on the subject, although they had a lot to share.

Former Soviet cosmonaut Vladimir Kovalenok appeared at a press conference devoted to unusual and anomalous phenomena in space. He said that he had witnessed something inexplicable during his work on board the Salyut orbital station. The cosmonaut said that he once saw a strange object on Earth’s orbit. He asked his partner, Viktor Savinykh, to fetch a camera. While Savinykh was trying to find the camera, the object exploded in front of Kovalenok’s eyes. The object split into two parts and had something like a bridge connecting those parts. The dumbbell-like object disappeared before the other cosmonaut was ready to photograph it. A strong radioactive emission was registered on Earth soon after the explosion of the mysterious object.

Kovalenok said that many of his colleagues had witnessed something unusual on a number of occasions, but they decided not to bring those issues to the public attention.

Pilot Pavel Popovich was on a flight from Washington to Moscow in 1978. The plane was flying at the height of about 10,000 meters, when he noticed a triangular luminescent object flying on the same trajectory with his aircraft. The speed of the triangle was higher than that of the plane – more than 1,700 km/h, whereas the jetliner was flying at 1,100 km/h.

Cosmonauts Gennady Strekalov and Gennady Manakov saw a bright spherical object appearing in the cloudless sky above Newfoundland in 1990. The sphere disappeared without a trace ten seconds later.

In 1991, Musa Manarov was observing the module with the new crew nearing the Mir Space Station, filming the process on video camera. He suddenly saw an antenna-like object separating from the module. He informed the cosmonauts inside the module that something had undocked from them. Nevertheless, it never became possible to identify the object, although it was filmed on camera.

It goes without saying that cosmonauts informed their governing bodies of all those and many other strange incidents. All of the stories were most likely documented and subsequently classified.

Cosmonauts may often witness other inexplicable events happening in space, Vladimir Kovalenok said. A tape recorder switched on by itself and started playing the crew’s favorite film on the orbit once, Kovalenok said.

Psychologists often warn cosmonauts prior to their space missions that they may experience a phenomenon known as the altered state of consciousness. A Russian cosmonaut said in 1994 that he and his partner had numerous visions when they were working on board the Mir station for six months. It seemed to them that they were turning into weird creatures – animals and even humanoids of extraterrestrial origin.

KGB agents were making records of UFO observations in special Blue Folder

Files comprising the famous Blue Folder have been declassified a while ago. The prominent Soviet cosmonaut Pavel Popovich got the folder from the KGB in 1991. These days Mr. Popovich holds the position of honorary president of the Academy of Informational and Applied Ufology. The folder contains numerous descriptions of UFO flights and reports on some (mostly failed) attempts taken by the military in order to catch the aliens.

In 1968, 13 leading aircraft designers and engineers of a brand-new aircraft section of the Soviet Committee on Space Technology and Exploration forwarded a letter to the Soviet Prime Minister Alexei Kosygin. Actually, it was a request to set up a special organization for the study of UFOs. A reply to the letter was signed by Academician Shchukin. It is an amazing document per se:

“A number of competent organizations of the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Chief Directorate of Meteorological Service, Defense Ministry and a few other agencies considered the issue of nature of the so-called flying objects. The organizations involved in the study of the atmosphere and space have been instructed to register and do research on any cases of UFOs for identification purposes. The USSR Academy of Sciences is charged with general monitoring of the phenomena, and therefore a special organization for the study of UFOs is not required.”

“It was a real breakthrough,” says Vladimir Azhazha, president of the above academy and keeper of the Blue Folder. “The authorities not only acknowledged the existence of UFOs for the first time, they also showed their great interest in the issue,” adds he.

“We got hold of the Blue Folder only in 1991,” says Mr. Azhazha. “Pavel Popovich was given the folder after requesting reports on the cases of UFOs. I received the folder from Popovich, it was a 124-page compilation of reports about the encounters with UFOs. The reports filed by authorities, military units COs and eyewitnesses. It took us a long time to get rid of some doubts before making the folder public,” says he.

Mr. Popovich saw an UFO only once while flying in a passenger plane from Washington to Moscow. According to him, the object looked like a shining triangle that popped up out of nowhere, for awhile it flew near the plane at about 1,000 km per hour before vanishing without a trace.

Despite the cover letter that effectively denied any special program by the KGB for monitoring the UFO activities, the contents of the folder indicated the opposite. It is quite obvious that the Soviet secret police launched thoughtful investigations in several cases e.g. an anomaly observed near the village of Burkhala of the Magadan region on October 21, 1989. The report on the incident says: “The eyewitnesses claim to have watched a red shining sphere circulating above the village for half an hour.” The northern lights are reported to have shone extremely brightly all night long following the incident.

The flying disks vanished in thin air after the explosion

KGB agents looked high and low trying to figure out what happened at the airport of the city of Mineralnye Vody on December 15, 1987. According to the airport dispatchers, at 23.15 the flight No 65798 reported an incoming “object resembling an aircraft with its headlights on.” The radars showed no aircraft whatsoever. Three minutes later the UFO was gone as reported by the flight No 65789.

The crew of another plane also observed the UFO flying in that area. The clock read approximately 23.20. According to crewmembers, the UFO left a fiery trail in the air. The crews of the both planes reported that the UFO had disappeared after the flash resembling an explosion. A villager reported a burning plane flying over his village at 23.30. The eyewitness said the plane then disappeared. The eyewitness found no wreckage or other evidence of a plane crash.

No manholes found in the “Martian” spacecraft

From time to time the military made attempts to deal with UFOs independently. In August 1987, servicemen of an antiaircraft unit based on the Tiksi Peninsula tried to “get to know better” an unidentified flying object that appeared on a radar screen. The report from Colonel Lobanov, a duty officer of the military unit No 45038, said: “An unidentified target detected by the radar station of the commandant’s office of the antiaircraft unit at 05.45 Moscow time.” The target moved at a speed varying from 0 to 400 km per hour. At 06.55 a helicopter MI-8 took off for a closer examination of the object. Suddenly, the object became invisible. Another aircraft, the AN-12 was flying in the vicinity at the time. At 3600 m the crew reported an emerald cloud with a few traces of purple and dark spots visible in the middle. Two inverse trails were reported behind the cloud.

An incident occurred in the Leningrad Military Region in early August of 1987. Five officers were dispatched to the northern part of Karelia to accompany an object of unknown origin that had been located near the city of Vyborg. The object was said to be 14 m long, 4 meters wide and 2.5 m high. The military failed to open the “extraterrestrial can.” Eventually, the object disappeared from the hangar late September.

On July 28, 1989, the arrival of an UFO spread panic among the personnel of a military unit stationed in the vicinity of Kapustin Yar, in the Astrakhan region. Corporal Valery Voloshin was on duty in the communications center at the time. He filed the first report on the case.

Researchers believe the Blue Folder is an invaluable source of information. According to Mr. Azhazha, all reports and evidence on record indicate that intelligent life forms control the objects that mean no harm to human beings. At least no case of an attack by UFO against man was found in the folder

UFO?

- So do UFOs with little green men inside exist or not? CNN supposedly filmed a UFO moving at a great speed from the right to the left during the inauguration of President Barack Obama. (But those who watched the replay say it was a bird.)

After that, former President Clinton's White House Chief John Podesta, now one of Obama's closest associates, demanded that the thick UFO files be made public.

The number of UFO sightings has dramatically increased in recent times. According to Britain's Ministry of Defense, there were supposedly 285 UFO sightings in the UK in 2008, double the figure for 2007, when the number of alleged UFO sightings was reckoned at 137. The defense departments of the United States and the Soviet Union scrupulously registered alleged sightings of UFOs for decades. American ufologists say that the U.S. authorities were quite serious about the UFO question in the 1940s through 1960s.

Project Blue Book, terminated in 1969, had two goals: to determine if UFOs were a threat to national security, and to scientifically analyze UFO-related data.

The USAF concluded that UFOs are not a threat to national security. Paradoxically, the military still refuse to provide information about UFOs for security reasons.

Ufologists insist that the USAF must give them access to certain documents, such as Project Moon Dust and Project Blue Fly.

Project Moon Dust was started in 1953, ostensibly to recover "returning space debris." Operation Blue Fly was launched to facilitate expeditious delivery to Foreign Technology Division of moon dust and other items of great technological intelligence interest. It is assumed that they were in fact connected with UFOs.

According to ufologists, the U.S. military also have kept the bodies of extraterrestrials who died in spaceship crashes over the United States.

The most widely known of such episodes, the Roswell Incident, took place in New Mexico on July 2, 1947, when an object crash-landed on a ranch approximately 75 miles northwest of Roswell, leaving a large field of debris.

The local air base at Roswell investigated the incident and announced that they had recovered a "flying disk." In fact, the crash was seen by a number of people. There were allegedly alien bodies found in the disk, but the film showing their autopsy was later denounced as a fraud.

If UFOs existed and military units were investigating them, there should also be a place for their deployment. This is Area 51, also known as Groom Lake, a secret military facility about 90 miles north of Las Vegas. At the center of it there is a large air base the government will not discuss about. The Roswell story speaks of alien bodies and wreckage being taken to a "Hangar 18" in Area 51.

Space photographs of the area show a huge landing strip crisscrossing the area and strange circles that can be interpreted as traces of landing of huge "flying saucers." Ufologists are convinced that this is so.

As President, George W. Bush moved Area 51 from the Nevada jurisdiction to that of the Pentagon and Washington. Slightly more than 10 years ago, civilian aircraft were prohibited to fly over the area.

The archives of the former Soviet Union are filled to capacity with data about contacts with extraterrestrials. They contain records of over 20,000 UFO sightings. The Academy of Sciences and the Defense Ministry both undertook investigations under the secret project names of Setka, Galaktika and Gorizont.

It is even said that "competent agencies," meaning the secret services, established contact with aliens and waited for their arrival to Earth. The media is now writing about a team of General Staff officers and academicians waiting for the arrival of an UFO in the Kyzylkum desert in June 1991.

Clearly, humans will always strive to search for beings of humanoid form in the Universe. But it is also apparent that apart from tall tales about "little green men" there are also facts that logically point to the presence of alien intelligence on the Earth.

In this case, maybe the time has come for the U.S. and Russian authorities to declassify information on unidentified flying objects and their masters?

Alien Food Symbols

It is well known that aliens are among us. Hundreds or thousands of alien races live with us here on Earth. Some are terrified refugees from evil galactic empires. Others just stopped by for a nosh.
But they share one thing in common: most terran food is poisonous to them. Think about it. Would you munch on Martian mushrooms? Or feast on some random slime pustules that you found in a swamp on Venus? Not likely! So you can't expect the Tantellians or the Pod Worms to go around ordering Number 2 from Taco Bell, now can you?

But the aliens are clever. They have developed Secret Codes that let them know what is safe for their particular race to eat. These codes are on the packages, cans and bottles that you buy daily. They are subtle, however, and you might not have noticed them.

That's why we are here. We have collected a variety of these Alien Food Symbols. Educate yourself. Educate others. Knowledge may be our only hope.

Gerber's Baby Food

This exhibit is from the lid of a Gerber's Baby Food jar. Clearly visible is a schematic drawing of a planet with a tilted axis and two small moons. Could it be Mars? There is also an unusual and mysterious mathematical formula: A/R. What could it mean? Is it part of a Jenny Craig plan for Martians?

Ruffle's Potato Chips
This package of Ruffles Potato Chips came to our attention via a contact at Delta Airlines. On the back of the package, on the lower right hand corner, there are six small, colored squares. On closer examination, some of these squares have microscopic writing in them. (See the leftmost square in the enlargement below.)
Obviously, the aliens for whom Ruffles are intended are capable of seeing colors. But they must also have amazing visual acuity, as humans cannot resolve this microscopic writing without magnification. Who knows what this writing actually means?

Even more surprising is the large symbol on the right hand side of the back. This is by far the largest and most blatant alien food symbol we have encountered. The numeral "1" on their planet surely signifies their belief in the primacy of their position in the galaxy. Clearly, these aliens (probably the Ploids) are very confident in their position on our planet!

What does the phrase on the right of the symbol mean? "Redeem by 12/31/00". Who was to be redeemed? Was this some secret deadline to which the aliens were working? And to what end?

Fritos "Corn" Chips
This package of Fritos came to us courtesy of another brave Delta Airlines employee. At first glance, there do not appear to be any alien food symbols at all. But that alone should make us suspicious. Surely Fritos were not developed for human consumption! And indeed, that is correct.
Look closely at the small, seemingly black square in the middle of the package's back. This is not some innocent part of the package! We believe it is a sophisticated tag that can only be viewed in the infra-red wavelengths, outside of the realm that humans can see. This race of aliens can see things that we cannot!

Pepperidge Farm Cookies
Pepperidge Farm seems to be in the business of taking perfectly good cookie recipes and churning out dull and tasteless replacements. Interesting, isn't it, that they put chess pieces on these packages? Is this wry acquiencense to the grand game that the aliens are playing?
On the front of the package, towards the bottom, just next to the net weight, is a curious symbol. You might think that part of it is merely a marking indicating that these cookies are Kosher. Turn it sideways, however, and it portrays a huge alien ship hovering over a planet - perhaps our own? Is the symbol of a magnet inside the planet somehow important to these aliens?

Hellmann's Mustard

Mustard is a very simple thing to make. You take mustard seeds, mash them up, and add some vinegar. Look at all of the other ingredients in this small package of Hellmann's Mustard! We hope it is obvious by now what this implies.

Now look at the symbol on the lower right of the package. This might represent a planet with dual rings, or some interstellar event that is important to this alien race. But it turns out to be more than that, and the clue comes in the writing to the symbol's left: BLUE RIBBON DEVICE [is a] registered trademark ... of Bestfoods.

This Blue Ribbon Device is some advanced alien technology - perhaps a teleportation device - and Bestfoods knows all about it! Are they already in league with the aliens?

Salt and Pepper
What could be more innocent than the individual packages of salt and pepper they give you with your meal on airline flights? Or more ominous?

You might think it is simple salt, a necessary part of a human diet. But you would be wrong. Yes, it contains salt, but the makers of this small packet admit that it also contains:

We can only hope that the alien race that recognizes this symbol finds an airline treat acceptable to its strange pallet.

Snack Mix
Tell the truth. Didn't you always wonder about the origin of that strange "Snack Mix", a combination of all of the oddly shaped and (if you read the ingredients list) oddly constituted things you could imagine? Well, wonder no longer.

We recognize the tell-tale symbology of The Others in this close-up of the obscure lower left part of the back of the package. Is this the feeding position of a snake-like race? Or perhaps the throne of a race that presumes to rule the galaxy?

And what about this?

Do you remember this from Ruffle's Potato Chips? Or rather, something like it? We suspect this is a standard message, in some vocabulary that we have not yet penetrated, to an alien race that we have not yet identified. Perhaps they have food restrictions within their own race that we have not yet understood? This might be a clue we can use to combat their insidious plot.

Hula Hoops

A British company, perhaps already in the service of the aliens, produces a food-like product called Hula Hoops. Slyly, they use reflective packaging to obscure their alliance with The Others.

Under advanced digital enhancement supplied by our sources, a terrifying image emerges, showing subservient humans feeding this dominating race of aliens, their huge mouths presumably leading to even larger subterranean bodies.

Clearly, their slaves are feeding them packets of "Hula Hoops".

Why is it that the aliens hide their hideous needs amongst our most treasured cultural institutions? Are they mocking us?

We came to this horrifying realization recently as our attention was drawn to the back of the very PC/MCIA card that we use for wireless Ethernet access.

Do you see? Do you see, now?

This alien race can only survive on Earth in helmeted suits that immerse them in their own, human-corrosive atmosphere.

And here? Dare we suggest a mating ritual? We will say no more.

Have you ever wondered why they call the electrical adapter for your laptop computer a power supply, when it is not the source of electrical power for your laptop at all? How much more blatant can they be?

Judging from the number of alien races who are invited to dine on this particular component, the "power supply" is a veritable MRE (Meal Ready to Eat) for the galaxy at large.

We believe this to represent the spider race from Tantelos, secure in their alien lair.

What could this be but the trisexual Argulians? How obscene that they would display their mating rituals on their foodstuff.

Here we see an image of a planet - is it Earth? - with the clear indication of a magnet, a ray gun, and a symbol too small for human eyes to resolve. Isn't their aggressive intention obvious?

This complex symbol is thought to combine futuristic circuitry with mental powers. What astonishing superhuman capabilities must this alien race have?

This, one of the most enigmatic alien food symbols to date, portrays a spherical alien craft, inside of which is a mysterious protection device and an alien life form, wielding a tool that cannot be identified.

Here, an archtypical alien head (was E.T. really fiction?) is silhouetted in a moon. Our moon? Or theirs?

This seemingly simple geometric shape hides an awful truth. This alien race chooses to identify itself, not with a visual representation of itself or its craft, but with a geometric theorem. Are they flaunting their advanced mathematics? What other secrets have they discovered?

Shadowcraft: UFOs, Spy Planes, or Something Else

The decade-long struggle to understand the mystery of the super-secret "Aurora" hypersonic aircraft and its role in the UFO phenomenon's rash of "triangle sightings" has entered a new phase.

Veteran UFO litigator Peter Gersten (of CAUS -- Citizens Against UFO Secrecy) argues that military secret-keepers did not make a "good faith" effort to provide him with information about large triangle-shaped craft seen repeatedly within the United States and elsewhere.

The Department of Defense (DOD) has maintained it could find no information confirming the existence of such craft, military or otherwise.

However, the U.S. District Court in Phoenix, Arizona, recently denied DOD motions to dismiss Gersten's lawsuit, instead demanding that the DOD produce additional affidavits about the way it handled the request.

This sets the stage for a rare opportunity to submit oral arguments regarding UFO sightings possibly caused by secret military aircraft like the notorious "Aurora".

Hunting the shadowcraft

The quest for Aurora has consumed the passions and skills of a diverse army of investigators for more than a decade. One of the more knowledgeable is Dr. Scott Miller, associate professor of aerospace engineering at Wichita State University in Kansas.

Miller has recently been touring the country lecturing on "shadowcraft" -- his term for the elusive mystery vehicles reported all around the world.

His travels are sponsored by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the world's largest professional society of aerospace engineers, as part of the annual "Distinguished Lecturer" series of about a dozen speakers who visit local chapters.

"A lot of the audience is a bit skeptical," he admits. "Yet they're also intrigued, and they'd like to think these things really exist."

The professional engineers he talks to also express gratitude that a fellow professional is examining the well-known rumors from a strict engineering point of view.

Has Miller gotten any useful feedback from his audiences? "Nothing really super juicy yet," he notes.

Black programs and Belgian triangles

At St. Louis, the home of the Boeing military aircraft and missiles plant (formerly McDonnell Douglas), he recalls that one attendee told him that some of his other friends in a local military 'black program' couldn't attend the talk because of security concerns.

"That was kind of disturbing," Miller recalls. "And kind of interesting!"

Some fellow experts he has talked with are very interested in photographs of the "Belgian triangle" seen repeatedly over Belgium a decade ago.

"They tell me it resembles a vehicle that Teledyne-Ryan had been working on," he says, "and they were way ahead of Lockheed on 'stealth' technology."

Such a subsonic reconnaissance vehicle might be the long-rumored spotter companion for B-2 missions over Russia.

Miller described the need for an aircraft to help hunt down rail-mobile Russian missiles, and such a mission would be more than enough rationale to keep its existence classified.

Follow the fuel

He himself is intrigued by recent Indiana UFO reports and the "pretty wild" rumors of stealth blimps with fake starfields displayed on their undersides.

"At this point," he admitted, "I'm paying attention."

One of the most interesting tidbits Miller has learned involves the mid-air refueling aircraft that any secret military vehicle would need.

"The SR-71 needed a special hydrocarbon fuel," he says. "And there were several modified KC-135 tankers stationed near Wichita. The fuel has a two-week shelf life and must be safely disposed of if stocks are not used quickly."

"I was told the KC-135's are still in service, and they are still making that fuel."

According to Miller, there aren't any more SR-71s flying, and they were mostly served by tankers out of Beale AFB in California, not Kansas. So why the Wichita refueling fleet?

The Los Angeles object

Another heavyweight aviation historian who has examined "Aurora" stories is Tom Heppenheimer, famed for his ferociously precise engineering assessments of aerospace issues.

One case Heppenheimer examined centered around reports of unusual supersonic shock waves over Los Angeles in 1991-92.

Many analysts speculated that these phenomena were caused by a Mach 4 aircraft headed north at about 30,000 feet, but Heppenheimer was skeptical that any aircraft would fly at that speed so low.

He calculated that the dynamic pressures on such a vehicle would reach 4,500 pounds per square foot, ten times the tolerance proposed for known hypersonic designs.

Furthermore, the Federal Aviation Administration controls this airspace to an altitude of 60,000 feet and all aircraft, military as well as civilian, are required to have active radar transponders while in it.

The mystery plane did not appear on radar.

From sonic booms to odd jet trails

Perhaps a less conventional object, flying at a lower speed but designed to evade radar, caused the disturbance?

"The computer analysis which came up with the performance figures has never been calibrated in real flight experiments," Heppenheimer points out.

Moreover, analysis of the same acoustic data at MIT's Lincoln Laboratory suggested that the booms could have come from conventional fighters doing about Mach 1.1.

Heppenheimer is more intrigued by sightings -- and photographs -- of strange contrails which follow a "donuts on a rope" pattern, like sausage links. He interprets these as evidence for subsonic flight testing of pulsed detonation engines, possibly the next step in efficient and reliable aircraft propulsion.

But Miller has his own less highly classified explanation for such effects.

"Aerodynamics expert Steve Crow studied this effect in the early 1970s," Miller tells SPACE.com, "and so these are called 'Crow Instabilities'. Studies show that on some occasions, wake vortex interactions from normal jets such as a 747 build donuts out of trailing vortices."

The increasingly clandestine sky

None of these expert assessments has had any influence on what people continue to perceive in the sky.

They see and report large objects, sometimes bizarrely lighted and sometimes dark against the stars or clouds above. Often these phenomena are entirely silent, but witnesses sometimes report pulsating, throbbing engine noises.

And such reports are appearing in far higher numbers than in the past.

Arguably, many of these sightings are misinterpretations of both manmade and natural phenomena, and there is a long, dismaying history of such cases.

Various groups on Earth (from reconnaissance teams, to test and training groups, to smugglers and even spies) have not been at all displeased when accidental witnesses misinterpret their aerial activities.

But the remaining uncertainties remain wide enough to fly entire fleets of unknown objects right through them, all over the Earth, and even possibly off it.

Aside from waiting for hindsight decades in the future -- or for the success of lawsuits such as Gersten's -- the only hope to resolve these fascinating mysteries is to collect and rigorously assess reports.

And even, when opportunities arise, go deliberately hunting for these shadowcraft

US, Chinese researchers engineer invisible cloak: study

In a breakthrough that could signal a new era for human technology, US and Chinese researchers announced Thursday they are a step closer to creating an invisibility shield.
In a development made possible by advances in complex mathematical algorithms, engineers at Duke University, North Carolina were able to create what they call "metamaterials."

These materials can "guide electromagnetic waves around an object, only to have them emerge on the other side as if they had passed through an empty volume of space," according to the team, whose work was published in the January 16 edition of the journal Science.

The cloaking phenomenon is similar to mirages seen at a distance on a hot day, according to senior researcher David R. Smith.

"You see what looks like water hovering over the road, but it is in reality a reflection from the sky," Smith said.

"In that example, the mirage you see is cloaking the road below. In effect, we are creating an engineered mirage with this latest cloak design."

The team, who were backed by the US Air Force Office of Scientific Research and the National Science Foundation of China among others, worked off their 2006 prototype that proved the project's feasibility.

But Smith said their latest cloak is far superior to the original design, Smith said.

"The new device can cloak a much wider spectrum of waves -- nearly limitless -- and will scale far more easily to infrared and visible light," he said.

"The approach we used should help us expand and improve our abilities to cloak different types of waves."

The breakthrough has the potential of advancing numerous technologies that already exist, and ideas that have yet to be devised.

"By eliminating the effects of obstructions, cloaking devices could improve wireless communications, or acoustic cloaks could serve as protective shields, preventing the penetration of vibrations, sound or seismic waves," said the team.

The cloak, measuring 20 inches (50.8 centimeters) by four inches (10 centimeters) and less than an inch (2.5 centimeter) high, is constructed with 10,000 fiberglass pieces arranged in parallel rows, 6,000 of which are unique.

Elmer Barnes once explained the meaning of historical revisionism. Revisionism, he said, "implies an honest search for historical truth and the discrediting of misleading myths that may be a barrier to peace and goodwill among nations. . . . Revisionism has been most frequently and effectively applied to correcting the historical record relative to wars because truth is always the first war casualty."

The interventionist spirit in American foreign policy, especially during the last 60 years, has led the United States into numerous misguided and disastrous adventures around the world. (See FFF's new book, The Failure of America's Foreign Wars.) Among the myths that still need revision are many pertaining to aspects of the Cold War.

For example, beginning in the 1930s, leftists in America accused their opponents of being paranoid about communism and the danger that there was "a communist under every bed." The recently declassified Vonona documents, however, clearly show that Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were Soviet spies (Julius's Soviet code name was "liberal"); and that Alger Hiss really was a Soviet agent, as were Harry Dexter White, undersecretary of the treasury and one of the architects of the Bretton Woods agreement, and Laughlin Currie, leading Keynesian economist and state department official. Indeed, it appears that in the 1930s and 1940s there were more than 200 Soviet agents in the Washington bureaucracies, many of them in high positions.

One of the other myths during the Cold War was that the Korean War was started by South Korea in June 1950 or, if it was initiated by North Korea, it was without the approval or support of Stalin or Mao Zedong. A leading proponent of this view was the American journalist I.F. Stone. It now turns out that Stone was on the Soviet payroll.

Now that the Cold War is over and the Soviet Union no longer exists, Russian and Western historians have begun to get a look into many of the secret archives of the USSR. This has enabled the beginning of Russian historical revisionism, a revisionism that is putting to rest all of the lies of the Soviet state, from Lenin to Gorbachev. For example, the Soviet government always denied that the 1939 Non-Aggression Pact between Stalin and Hitler contained a "secret protocol" dividing up Eastern Europe. Not only has this finally been admitted, but the Soviet originals of these documents have been on display in Moscow.

The most valuable work in this area has been the "Cold War International History Project" sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C. Since 1992, they have published translations and summaries of a vast number of released documents from the Soviet archives in their semiannual Bulletin, which is available free upon request. And a number of Soviet and Western scholars have been publishing histories of various periods and events during the Cold War on the basis of these new archival materials. Useful studies based on documents and previously unpublished memoirs from Communist China have also begun to appear. All of this is helping to put better perspective in many of the major events of the last half century.

One of these recent works is Alien Wars: The Soviet Union's Aggressions against the World, 1919 to 1989 by Gen. Oleg Sarin and Col. Lev Dvoretsky. It is not as detailed as many of the more specialized studies or as thorough or well structured as a definitive history of the period will eventually have to be. But it offers many useful insights about Soviet foreign policy and Soviet actions before and during the Cold War.

The authors have an interesting chapter on the Spanish Civil War, 1936-1939, and the extent to which the Republican side was soon taken over by Stalin's agents. They also detail the amount of Soviet military intervention in the war and how Stalin saw Spain as a proving ground for new military technologies, just as Hitler and Mussolini did in their support for the fascist side in the conflict.

In their discussion of the origin of the Second World War, the authors (like some other Russian historians in recent years) argue that Stalin not only wanted to help start a war between Hitler and Britain and France but was also planning to attack Nazi Germany (probably in 1942) as the crucial stage leading to the communizing of Europe; but Hitler beat Stalin to the punch by invading the Soviet Union first in June 1941.

They also detail the origins of the Korean War. Their discussion, along with Soviet documents now available through the Woodrow Wilson International Center, clearly demonstrate that while the first proposals for a war to unify all of Korea under communist rule came from North Korea's dictator, Kim Il Sung, he had the full financial and military support of the Soviet Union. Stalin personally gave the official go-ahead. He sent Soviet military advisors to help plan the strategy of attack and conquest. After the war had begun and the tide had turned against the North Koreans, Soviet military pilots went into action against the U.S. Air Force from bases in Siberia and Manchuria in planes disguised with North Korean and Chinese Communist markings.

Another standard myth about the Korean War is that the Chinese Communists decided to intervene only when U.S. and UN troops began approaching the Manchurian-Korean border along the Yalu River in October 1950. However, this is contradicted by recent works, especially China's Road to the Korean War by Chen Jian (1994). After Mao also gave the go-ahead to Kim Il Sung to start the war, Mao and the Chinese communist military began preparations in July 1950 for participation in the Korean War, as Mao's next step in taking the leadership in Asia (with Stalin's approval) for the communization of the Far East.

Sarin and Dvoretsky also explain the extent of Soviet military and financial intervention in the Vietnam wars, starting in 1946 through the fall of Saigon in 1975. Soviet advisors and military personal not only assisted the Vietnamese communists; they also flew aerial combat missions. They also flew combat missions for the Egyptians in the 1967 Arab-Israeli War. The authors detail Soviet interventionism in Somalia and Ethiopia and how the Soviet government changed whom it supported as strategic opportunities shifted. They also describe Soviet motives and purposes for placing nuclear missiles in Cuba in 1962, events behind Soviet military intervention in Hungary in 1956 and Czechoslovakia in 1968, and the disastrous war in Afghanistan.

Soviet military adventurism after 1945 cost the lives of tens of thousands of ordinary Russians, who were sent to advise or fight in foreign lands in the name of winning the world for communism.

Revisionist histories about Soviet foreign adventurism are not valuable merely as a means for the Russians to face the facts and realities of their own past. They also assist in better understanding the events surrounding America's own interventionist policies during this period. The lessons of history, Sarin and Dvoretsky hope at the end of their book, can be "useful in helping prevent unfortunate consequences in the future."

Human embryos never have any gills or any tails

Scientists believed in the middle of the 19th century that the human embryo went through all stages of the evolution of the species. Scientific theories of that time said that the impregnated ovum grows into the freshwater hydroid, turns into the gilled fish, develops into a tailed animal and finally becomes a human being.

It was proved long ago that the hypothesis was incorrect, to put it mildly.

The story began in 1866, when German biologist Ernst Haeckel decided to find a proof of Darwin ’s theory. Having studied human and animal embryos of different ages, he found many similarities between them. The scientist considered that the tail and the gills of the human embryo were not just a mere coincidence. He eventually concluded that each living being quickly repeats the development of its species in the prenatal development.

The church did not like Haeckel’s ideas, although his colleagues renamed it into the biogenetic law. Unfortunately, it never became possible to prove the law in its original wording. The facts, which seemed to be indisputable at first sight, turned out to be wrong under a closer inspection.

Embryologists have revised the Haeckel-Muller law, although its myths still live today.

It seems that the gills of the human embryo give a precise indication of the place of the human being on the evolution tree. However, Haeckel only described the outward appearance of the embryos and left all the details of their internal structure aside. The scientist mistook the gills for the folding tissue which preceded the head and the neck. The folds became traditionally known as gill arches, although it would be correct to refer to them as visceral arches. The human embryo has no gill openings similar to those of cold-blooded animals.

The embryos are often pictured with tails. It was revealed that the human embryo has a larger number of the vertebrae in comparison with adult humans – 38 against 33-34. The future skeleton undergoes a slight transformation afterwards and the baby sees the light having the usual number of spinal bones. Like the nervous system, the axial skeleton of the embryo grows slower than other organs and tissues. That is why the embryo has several large sizes in comparison with the whole tiny organism.

1. The Mutter Museum of Medical History. The museum was founded to educate future doctors about anatomy and human anomalies. 4. Easter Island, Chile. This island is one of the most mysterious places in the world. The island is world-known for its giant statues carved of stone. The giant statues look into the sky as if they are begging for mercy. Only stone statues know where their creators went. No one on the island knows the art of statue-making. “Putin is a secret service man. Mikhail Gorbachev was the first and the last national leader who acknowledged the issue of unidentified flying objects in Russia. We established the public ufological center during his rule under my supervision. Thousands of ufologists were working for me from 1990 to 1995. We collected tons of information to prove the existence of UFOs. There are other civilizations in the universe, no matter if we want it or not,” the scientist said.

“The term ‘extraterrestrial’ is not quite correct. There is no evidence to prove that aliens come from other planets. No one knows where they come from. It is not ruled out that they come from a civilization of parallel worlds, or from the ocean. Modern science knows very little about what’s happening at ocean’s depths,” Vladimir Azhazha believes.

“There were incidents when scientists saw unidentified objects in the Mariana Trench. I am a submariner myself, although I have never seen something like that. We once encountered an unusual animal in the ocean, although we failed to determine and classify the being. It was a lyre - shaped creature .

“US satellites took several infrared photographs of Mexico, Chile and Bolivia in 1993. The pictures showed large objects up to 450 kilometers in diameter – the flying cities. This is where they all come from.

“You probably realize that I do not feel like fantasizing at my age. My facts show that aliens use fresh water as fuel for their aircraft. They decompose water into oxygen and hydrogen. In Australia, a UFO was once spotted landing on a tank holding 38 tons of water. When it took off, there was no water found in the tank. There was a smell of ozone in the air, which made it clear that they decomposed water into oxygen and hydrogen and compressed the latter under the pressure of several hundreds of atmospheres. We won’t be able to carry a bucket of mercury, because it will weigh 130 kilograms. If we compress hydrogen, a truck won’t be able to move a spoonful of it.

Mysterious flying objects of all shapes – round, ellipsoid, rectangular and triangular – can often be spotted near Lake Gaipo in the Cordilleras. Locals see them flying into the water of the lake or hanging above the water surface and then disappearing in the sky.

Unlike ufologists, the Quechua Indians living on the shores of Gaipo Lake do not associate such phenomena with extraterrestrial beings. They are certain that witches and wizards assume the similitude of UFOs as they hunt for humans.

Legend has it that a beam of light from a luminous object struck an Indian once. The man could not move a finger until the UFO vanished in the air. Another legend tells the story of a woman who was picking brushwood in the forest when she suddenly saw a disk of fire hanging above the lake. The disk was producing enormous heat that the woman could feel although she was standing quite far from the object.

Gaipo is not the only killer lake in the world. A strange incident took place in October 1994 on John D. Long Lake in South Carolina. A young woman named as Susan Smith was convicted of murdering her two little sons. Susan left the boys, 3-year-old Michael and 14-months-old Alexander in her car and let it roll into the lake drowning the boys. Susan was sentenced to life in prison.

The tragedy became a huge shock for the local population, and the people erected a monument on the pier in memory of the two children. The nightmare repeated again two years later, when a car with seven people inside – three adults and four children – suddenly took off, drove between the monuments to Alex and Michael and fell into the lake. All passengers of the car died in the accident, including another man who jumped into the water in an attempt to rescue at least someone. The stories made the local population believe that the lake had been cursed.

Several dozens of cars drowned in Lake Whitney in Texas. All of the cars with passengers inside rolled into the lake from piers. Divers found some of the cars of the bottom of the lake, although they never found any human remains.

Local police officers say that many of those cars could not roll into the water because they were on a parking brake. Ufologists say that two unidentified flying objects landed on the lake during the first half of the 1970s. Is there any connection between UFOs and mysterious deaths? UFO’s are usually attracted to geopathogenic zones. It is not ruled out that the electromagnetic fields of such zones affect man-made objects and humans, which eventually results in tragic accidents. UFOs may also be the source of pathogenic radiation.

There are many god-forsaken places in the world where birds never sing and trees never grow. Locals usually say that such places are cursed, although it may not always be so. Scientists believe that it can happen just because of poisonous air.

Lake Kakhynaidakh in Russia’s Yakutia Republic is known as Devil’s Lake. The water in the lake is dark, its shores are obstructed with charred trees, piles of coal slags and burnt clay. They may often find dead bodies of animals and even humans near the lake, and no one has ever been able to determine their cause of death.

The story happened in the beginning of the 20th century. A local fisherman cast a net one day in the lake when he suddenly saw that the water started boiling before his very eyes. The next moment the man heard an explosion, he fell down on the ground and covered himself with a tent-cloth. He stayed there still until everything went quiet. The man stood up and found his clothes damaged with fire on the back. The fish in his sweep-net was boiled. The fisherman pulled the net out of the hot water and ran away. The lake was later dubbed as Devil’s Lake, and no one dared to approach the cursed place ever since.

Geologists supposed that the explosion described in the legend had occurred because of coal deposits that were burning deep under the ground. Most likely, the fisherman witnessed a methane explosion that occurred underneath the lake.

Another anomalous zone is located in Russia’s Kamchatka, not far from the Geyser Valley. The zone is known as the Death Valley. Remnants of dead animals can be found everywhere in the valley of death. There is hardly any vegetation there; the rocks on the slopes are covered with sulfur depositions. One can smell sulphuretted hydrogen in the air.

The people who find themselves in the area, soon get the feeling of dry mouth. Afterwards, they suffer from headache, the blood pressure rises and they may have nausea and dizziness. A person will recover about 30 minutes after leaving the place.

Scientists say that people have those symptoms in the valley because of carbon dioxide and sulphuretted hydrogen poisoning. The gases evaporate from the depth as a result of volcanic activity. It took scientists quite a while to understand why death occurs so quickly. For example, a huge bear died once soon after he ate the meat one of the animals that died in the valley. The discovery was made only in 1982, when scientists found highly concentrated poisonous cyanic composites in the volcanic evaporations.

Lakes Nyos and Monoun in Cameroon are known for their ill reputation too. The lakes were formed in volcanic craters about 500 years ago. The bottoms of the lakes are covered with magma. Gases come out of the volcano, blend with ground waters and get accumulated in bottom layers of the lakes. If something troubles the gases – a strong wind, a landslide or an earthquake – the solutions begin to produce carbonic acid. It literally shoots up in the sky. The cloud of gas kills all living beings many kilometers around. Thirty-seven people were killed in August 1984 when Lake Monoun exploded. Expedition to solve the mystery of Tungus meteorite

New expedition has already set off for Evenkia last Friday in order to solve the mystery behind the popular phenomenon known as Tungus meteorite.

Scientists are hoping to find material evidences disproving the main version of the events which took place almost a hundred years ago. Officially, on June 30th 1908 a huge meteorite descended from the sky and shook taiga, reports RIA “Novosti”.

“We intend to uncover evidences that will prove the fact that it was not a meteorite that rammed the Earth, but a UFO,” stated the team’s supervisor Yuri Labvin to journalists. [Yuri Labvin has been heading the public fund dedicated to studying the Tungus cosmic phenomenon.

Armed with metal detectors and other innovative gadgets, members of the expedition (14) plan to inspect taiga near the Poligus village as well as surrounding area by the river Podkamennaya Tunguska.

The scouting area is situated in approximately 500 kilometers to the West from the place where previous scientific expeditions used to search for the traces of the fallen meteorite.

Labvin also stated that according to space photography of this region of Evenkia, the area is full of “metal traces” which could in fact have something to do with the “man-caused catastrophe which took place 100 years ago.” The expedition is scheduled to return back to Krasnoyarsk on August 5th.
